I know you are Mark H - I saw you on New 0rder 0nline! I will probably pop into the Audley (South Audley Street) for the New 0rder 0nline meet, although the high cockfarmer quotient may be irksome, so it would be good to see some ILXers!

Looks like a no then? Tickets are already down to £20 and I reckon you'll be able to get them for £10 by tomorrow afternoon from touts, in pubs etc. Didn't someone tell the organizers about Glasto?

I would go for a tenner, if I could.

Will it be a DVD?

woah ... thought this was my old stomping ground for a minute there..

I had a chance of a ticket but turned it down

Dadaismus (Dada), Friday, 24 June 2005 08:30 (twenty years ago)

they were giving them away. I found a link a few weeks ago where if you entered your details they would send you tickets for free. I entered, then told other people about it. The other people have received their tickets, I didn't :(

jellybean (jellybean), Friday, 24 June 2005 08:33 (twenty years ago)

shit, sorry to hear that Jellybean, speshly as I had a spare ticket which sold to someone when I got there. I had a good time, despite the rain, which was intermittant anyway and I only had to think about what a wash-out Glasto was to stop it bothering me completely. Psychedelic Furs were good, Coxon was great. Even liked Moby, and I wasn't expecting to! New Order were in better spirits than at the Primavera Festival in Barcelona, set highlights for me being "She's Lost Control" and "Love Vigilantes" (even tho Barney miscued the meoldica bit at the beginning). Didn't see Dr C. tho :(

I was there! Hadn't planned to be but got offered free entry and drinks. Dresden Dolls & Psychedelic Furs were great, as were New Order. I could not be bothered with Graeme Coxon or Moby and saw lots of super-fucking-competent NME-type bands instead in the tents, their audiences swollen because of the rain. Was talking to one woman for a bit when I suddenly realised she was Miranda Sawyer from the telly and I was being awfully drunk. Then on the nightbus I was talking to this cute girl who it turned out remembered seeing me in a bar 2000 miles away in April and she might become a new friend. It was a good day, and I spent £2 (for an attractive yellow plastic rain-protection garmet).

Eyeball Kicks (Eyeball Kicks), Saturday, 25 June 2005 12:45 (twenty years ago)

I was talking to a girl in the Audley (a pub on the other side of Park Lane from Hyde Park) early in the afternoon and we kinda recognised each other and it turned out she'd been at the Primavera festival. Didn't meet anyone famous tho. I saw some of the bands in the tents too - Hard-Fi whom I thought were rubbish and then this band came on who were all dressed in yellow baseball uniforms with balck eye make up on one eye except for the singer who was dressed really outlandishly like a samurai or something. They were in the X-fm tent and weren't actually billed on the schedules I saw so i have no idea what they're called but despite their ridiculous appearance I thought they were quite good. The Dears were very disappointing tho - one really overrated band. I wish i hadn't bothered going to see them coz I kinda lost track of time and ambled across the park only to see that fat comedian (Alan someone?) who always comes on to introduce New Order appear on the big screen, so I rushed towards the front, but didn't get as close to the stage as I would've liked!

**Didn't see Dr C. tho :( **

I was in The Audley from about 5 until 8. It was absolutely nuts in there wheen I arrived. Not a bad gig - but a disappointingly predictable setlist.
