Have you ever watched Art Garfunkel in the film, "Bad Timing" while being in the room with someone who said, "It's a long way from "Bridge Over Troubeld Water", i tellsya"

And what kind of experience was it?

Answer to question part the first:no.
Answer to question part the second: it was an experience of the date-that-ended-in-no-romance-because-the-wrong-choice-of-movie-revealed-libido-supressing-character-flaws kind.

I think this thread should be henceforth dedicated to the most beautiful woman who has ever lived:

Bad Timing was recently put out by Criterion Collection, but it does appear to be unavailable in Region 2.

Dr Morbius, Tuesday, 7 August 2007 19:34 (eighteen years ago)

oh cool, didn't know abt the criterion release (obv) - does it have a roeg commentary?

Ward Fowler, Tuesday, 7 August 2007 20:49 (eighteen years ago)

and the critters versh apparently doesn't have a commentary, which is annoying because i think he even did one for 'insignificance'. and not for 'performance'.

This movie messed with my mind a little.
Art Garfunkel just performed with a symphony in my town, it was the last event before the remodeling of The Missouri Theatre. Theresa Russell is pretty incredible, just ask Nic Roeg.

Yes, she is great in that. Watching Keitel trying to "figure out" the crime is downright hilarious and just classic Keitel.

shit hkm you're right abt the R2 BT DVD (just looked on Amazon) - i've never seen it in the shops, nor read anything abt it's release - looks pretty 'bare bones' but still

Ward Fowler, Tuesday, 7 August 2007 21:10 (eighteen years ago)

i got it -- it's actually a pretty tasty print. i've seen it in hmv for pennies.
