Is Cybersex Cheating?

Cybersex, its dud in my opinion. I used to have a different appealation (Lady Cholet) and I got heaps of *tempting* offers from people who assured me they were devastatingly attractive, 6ft, buff, blonde so on and so forth. I always had to ask why they couldnt find someone in real life. I imagine they are all disgusting men in moccasins and stained trackpants getting their keyboards dirty and not cleaning them. I recomend they use a phone line or a furry mitten. Its all so thoroughly unexciting.

Then this lonely single guy with the same Cybersex machine and an unrequited crush on lonely single gal hacks into her little hot lovin' session and programs himself into the Judge Dredd role.

The irony being that a medium which reinforces loneliness and physical isolation from one's fellow man (or woman) has been responsible for bringing these two people together.

I suppose this is my roundabout way of saying that some fantasies should be left in the head, where they belong. Such flights of fancy are emotional and spiritual cul-de-sacs that take us further away from our true selves.

.. but suffice it so say that back in the pre-Interet BBS days my deft fingers seduced more than one woman, some twice my age at the time (16) .. of course, this doesn't say so much, because you could make all kinds of questionable sounds about the type of person who'd engage in that activity, their attractiveness, their integrity as a person and commitment to significant other if that applied, but regardless there were some fun, racy times ..

for the other question, I'd definitely say it's cheating. Maybe not so awful an offense as flesh-and-blood, but the fact remains that you're extending yourself to someone else .. directing attention away from your relationship and focusing it somewhere else, however serious or not. and that can lead to permanent changes (one woman I'd met when young eventually divorced her husband. they'd been having an awful marriage as it was, but to think that in any way you were an impetus and influence for that choice..)
