here in my office we're getting mighty excited about the potential impending doom that is the gleneagles G8 summit. what do y'all think is going to happen? will it all kick off genoa style? will geldoff get drop kicked by a giant posse of unruly neds? are any of you actually planning to march anywhere?

Well, nothing is going to kick off at Gleneagles, because most of the protesters will be a long, long way away. I wonder if someone from the police has infiltrated the protest groups and cunningly suggested holding the protests in an entirely unrelated city that just happens to be in the same country.

I'm hoping Bob Geldof will infiltrate the summit with 200lbs of explosives tied to his chest and destroy the whole filthy bunch of them.

Actually, I don't hope that will happen, but it'll be a good deal more interesting than the ineffectual "compromise" deals that'll actually happen. We'll reduce the number of people dying eahc year by . .. ohhh, about 40? Any more than that would hurt our economies. Fuckers.
