Imagine a world without one or the other - which would be worse?

Come Back Johnny B (Johnney B), Tuesday, 28 June 2005 12:59 (twenty years ago)

I can imagine not having beer with my curry or not having a beer when I get home from work, but I can't imagine not having a cup of tea in the morning. So tea is better than beer.

The world without tea; because beer is horrible.

Tech Support Droid (ForestPines), Tuesday, 28 June 2005 13:01 (twenty years ago)

I have drunk tea three times in my life. Beer, more often.

Eyeball Kicks (Eyeball Kicks), Tuesday, 28 June 2005 13:07 (twenty years ago)

I think I'd pick tea, although this surprises me.

Mädchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 28 June 2005 13:11 (twenty years ago)

Who would think up such a mean choice?

accentmonkey (accentmonkey), Tuesday, 28 June 2005 13:28 (twenty years ago)

i feel like i should say "tea" but truth be told i haven't made a cup in months. Although i don't drink beer very often either. Fuck em both, i'll drink wine with my breakfast.

This is like asking Oxygen Vs Water. bzzzt.

Chewshabadoo (Chewshabadoo), Tuesday, 28 June 2005 13:44 (twenty years ago)

I've very surprised that I'd probably pick tea as well.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Tuesday, 28 June 2005 13:44 (twenty years ago)

Tea calms me down when nothing else does. Take it away and I will go crazy and kill everyone.

edward o (edwardo), Tuesday, 28 June 2005 13:48 (twenty years ago)

You can take away tea because I would still have COFFEE which is a thing of beauty. Coffee vs. Beer, I would have to pick coffee, though.

That seems somehow wrong.

Mädchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 28 June 2005 15:28 (twenty years ago)

Beer without hesitation.

dan m (OutDatWay), Tuesday, 28 June 2005 15:30 (twenty years ago)

I don't drink Tea. I need beer to maintain my delicate grasp on sanity.

Taste the Blood of Scrovula (noodle vague), Tuesday, 28 June 2005 16:55 (twenty years ago)

Tea, says me.
For I've sorta grown reeeaally tired of beer, all of a sudden, as over the past month or so. Tho I used to drink it quite a bit for the past ten years or samthung.
Hm.
Hmmm.

t\'\'t (t\'\'t), Tuesday, 28 June 2005 17:08 (twenty years ago)

both are dangerous to drink in the company of others
for when the pint glasses become empty, you often have to replenish en masse, and it can be mighty expensive buying a round if you have loads of friends (like me. ha!)
likewise in my office. you're not allowed to just get a cup of tea. you must offer to make everyone else one. which gets ridiculous as you try to tray six steaming mugs to and fro.
my solution is to be stingy and anti-social and only drink in the privacy of my hovel.

dahlin (dahlin), Tuesday, 28 June 2005 17:25 (twenty years ago)

Probably tea. Both originiated as a way to make unsafe drinking water safe. Beer had the horrible side-effect of causing blatter stones, which must be incredibly painful.

I drink a lot of both, but probably more tea.
