Defend the Indefensible: Supersized meals

I hadn't eaten fast food for about 2 years, but then I was on the road with other people on a long trip and I "had to". And I was really hungry... I ordered the biggie, and I may have fallen off the wagon. I might get another sometime not soon. I'm hungry now. Don't try to talk me out of it.

(This has nothing to do with that movie)

Hey has anyone seen that movie?

Jarlr'mai (jarlrmai), Thursday, 30 June 2005 11:08 (twenty years ago)

worth it for the 44oz coke alone.

I took my girlfriend's little sister to see the SpongeBob movie, and she asked for a "large" popcorn. There were two of us, and there was also an "Extra Large"| on offer so I thought what the hey and complied. Turned out it the bucket it came ine (and 'bucket' only comes close to doing it justice) was bigger than her head. And she's almost seven.

Lord knows why people need extra large ones...

I think if you order a Big Tasty, taking it with small fries just seems like cheating.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 30 June 2005 11:22 (twenty years ago)

They never have supersized pickles.

Pete (Pete), Thursday, 30 June 2005 11:27 (twenty years ago)

"sandwich sized" pickles are available in the states. they're basically large, oval pickle sheets.

If you want leftovers tomorrow...

LITER OF COLA.

nickalicious (nickalicious), Thursday, 30 June 2005 11:47 (twenty years ago)

Bah, I want supersized sandwich pickels. (I did get a jar of sandwich pickels once, you can get 'em in Teso's too. Were a little bit lacklustre).

Pete (Pete), Thursday, 30 June 2005 12:04 (twenty years ago)

so that's it then. Large coke.

geyser muffler and a quarter (Dave225), Thursday, 30 June 2005 16:01 (twenty years ago)

no..SUPERSIZE coke. SSCoke towers over large coke.

TROUGH O'COKE

Rock Hardy (Rock Hardy), Thursday, 30 June 2005 16:11 (twenty years ago)

SUPERSIZED TURDS IN 20 MINUTES.

Lupton Pitman (Chris V), Thursday, 30 June 2005 16:12 (twenty years ago)

fuck that movie, what's next? I drank nothing but Starbucks for a year and now I'm a straw man-fighting media dickwad!

Another Allnighter (sexyDancer), Thursday, 30 June 2005 16:13 (twenty years ago)

OK, but this isn't about that movie. It's not about eating fast food for 30 days in a row. It's about eating a supersized meal once in awhile. Do you do it?

geyser muffler and a quarter (Dave225), Thursday, 30 June 2005 16:31 (twenty years ago)

Oh hells yeah.

Rock Hardy (Rock Hardy), Thursday, 30 June 2005 16:33 (twenty years ago)

what's weird about supersized meals is that i am always totally hungry like an hour later

Homosexual II (Homosexual II), Thursday, 30 June 2005 16:33 (twenty years ago)

You'd think fat and sodium would be more satisfying.

geyser muffler and a quarter (Dave225), Thursday, 30 June 2005 16:38 (twenty years ago)

Heh. It's hard to say "I haven't eaten from anywhere that would suerpsize in maybe 5 years" without sounding like a condescending dick, but...it's true. Can't you nearly *always* get a cheap curry / souvlaki / sushi / diner burger / noodles / pizza for the sameish price (maybe $7-8?), and isn't it *always" better?

paulhw (paulhw), Thursday, 30 June 2005 22:25 (twenty years ago)

yeah, but burger king onion rings trick you

Another Allnighter (sexyDancer), Thursday, 30 June 2005 22:27 (twenty years ago)

Usually french fries are the best tasting thing at fast food restaurants, so you're better off with an extra large order.

Mike Dixn (Mike Dixon), Thursday, 30 June 2005 22:33 (twenty years ago)

Our Burger King went out of bidness. I think I'm going to let some Sonic onion rings trick me.
