it's between SOMA and Portrero. in the new SOMISPO disctrict (real close to the safeway on 16th and portrero). it won't sell out, but it will get really crowded. who are you seeing there? some hip hop act?

Really? How's the scene there usually? I've been there a few times, but for dumb things like the BFD afterparty that I got dragged out to. Oh and for good things too I guess..the Michael Mayer DJ set a few months back...

it's usually a mix of asian hip hop kids (often breakdancing) and sk8 art fucks. i don't mind it. it's not too dressed up, it's not to slummy, it's not too yuppie, it's not too hipstery. it's pretty much in the middle. kinda like what milk is trying to be but for some reason whenever i go to milk it's just a bunch of fucking weirdos.

I ended up going....it was kind of a disappointment. There was so much reverb on her vocals you could barely make them out. It would have been better if she'd been lip-syncing. (Like MIA?) I left after a few songs.
