Classic, for ability to have some time to yourself to just listen to music and bum about.

Dud when you realise all your other friends aren't here either and your social life currently depends entirely on your flatmate. Also when you spend time you should be just doing your own thing tidying up the flat.

Sorry, Jody, you were complaining about your roommate a lot recently so when I saw the word "flatmate" for a split second I thought this might be your thread. But I figured you'd be the kind of person who would enjoy the privacy, and wouldn't agonize over such a thing.
