How to tell you play video games too much, part #32: when you dream about them

Okay, i actually dreamt I had an endboss fight last night. Full HUD, health meters, targeting reticles, etc. The bad guy even recharged like a bitch when his health got low.

I've had dreams take many forms with many types of media; this is the first one i recall having FPS elements to it.

Right then, back to playing San Andreas...

The first videogame I ever dreamed about was "Clowns and Balloons" for the TRS-80, which I played for so long one day that I "flipped" the score, and started again back at 0. For days it was the little fucking clowns popping the little balloons, up and down, bouncing around..

I've had visions of Tony Hawk grinding on real-life places I know in the back of my head for a year or two, pretty much constantly. I'm glad I'm rid of that, especially since I don't like the game anyway! During my short but intense obsessions with Pac-Man and Tetris and something else I continued playing them whenever I closed my eyes, but I never really minded that.
