the tardis? just who are you expecting to say dud? (with the quite permissable eception of people who say it to be contrary, just because they feel like it). i like saying

time and relative dimensions in space

and we have the tardis inside out technical manual on the bookshelf downstairs. i'm sure the topic of who is your favourite doctor has been well covered on ilx, so for the record mine is peter davidson, although most of them are pretty fantastic. it was the scripts you see...

oh yeah, hawkwind or gong, or someone from one of the aformentioned performed with the crystal machine arranged as six large sloped desks around a central console, complete with whirly uppy downy thingy in the middle. god i'd have loved to have seen that. it has a name actually, that bit (and wasn't the rani's one ace!) but i cannot be bothered to go downstairs and find out what it is. so there you go.
