Infamous attorney Jack Thompson managed to find out about Bully a couple months ago and has already made attempts to contact the Department of Education about the title

I'm more excited about 25 to Life.

has Rockstar put out a worthwhile non-GTA title yet?

kingfish (Kingfish), Wednesday, 6 July 2005 04:47 (twenty years ago)

Ste (Fuzzy), Wednesday, 6 July 2005 07:34 (twenty years ago)

Skool Daze meets GTA = Ohmyfawkinggawwwwwd!!!

I tried to make a RTS playground gang warfare game in Klik and Play when I was about 12. It featured pixel-art renditions of real life bullies and victims from my own school, but I gave up when it came to figuring out how to make my exquisitely crafted characters actually, you know, move about and stuff. The rockstar bastards must have found the plans when they were going through my bins.

one year passes...
I finally got this. It does seem very similar to GTA, even with the fold out map and artwork.

I know I'm going to be craving the guns of GTA after 10 minutes of caterpult only action here though.

I got it for Christmas from my mum. I find it really tedious.

I beat this shit ages ago, son.
No guns, but hey you can throw firecrackers and eggs!
Make sure you get to Chapter 2 ASAP, that's when the first part of the town opens up.

It is a bit, but if I hadn't asked for this I'd have got FIFA again. At least I should manage to get 100% on this one without too much effort, unlike the last two GTAs where I just can't be bothered looking for things to spraypaint or whatever. (I've not actually finished San Andreas, come to think of it.

Had to look up walkthrough for Bully as well, as I couldn't work out what to do next, and didn't realise that the next mission would begin when I walk out to the end of the pier.

Shop lessons are driving me mad.

The Warriors, Foo'!

Kv_nol (Kv_nol), Thursday, 25 January 2007 12:27 (nineteen years ago)

noooo Warriors was awful, too much finicky unscrewing of screws on radios/lock picking. The fight scenes were a mess

I played Bully at lunchtime. Seems playable although the loading times for entering buildings seemed a bit over the top especially as something as large as San Andreas was almost no loading time.

Just skipping cut scenes now too, far too impatient.

Ste (Fuzzy), Thursday, 25 January 2007 13:50 (nineteen years ago)

Warriors = best Rockstar game by a mile, though I've only ever played it co-op.

Ste, you trippin on flash you toy! *smashes bottle over head*

Actually it's a bit sad how many words and phrases I stole from that game!

Table Tennis, people.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Thursday, 25 January 2007 15:45 (nineteen years ago)

I really wanted to like it, i'm just not very good at remembering what fight moves to do and when. I got really frustrated at being handcuffed every five seconds too.

and what the hell was that spraying a 'W' thing all about ?! have you ever tried spraying a W with a spray can, its a piece of piss.

Ste (Fuzzy), Thursday, 25 January 2007 15:51 (nineteen years ago)

xp

Ste (Fuzzy), Thursday, 25 January 2007 15:51 (nineteen years ago)

Ah come on like, the spray paint had to be hard! Otherwise it wouldn't have been difficult enough. Screw a fight move, I just button mashed until everyone was down!

I'm not even going into the handcuffing thing! You have to work to get arrested in the game, you know? It's almost like you want to be handcuffed...

Kv_nol (Kv_nol), Thursday, 25 January 2007 15:53 (nineteen years ago)

i think the midnight club series is massively underrated. DUB Edition is one of the most fun racing games ever.

M@tt He1g3s0n: oh u mad cuz im stylin on u (Matt Helgeson), Thursday, 25 January 2007 17:15 (nineteen years ago)

I am playing Bully now and I like it quite a bit, even if it is just GTA at its core. The scenario and the feel of the game I find really appealing.

polyphonic (polyphonic), Thursday, 25 January 2007 17:31 (nineteen years ago)

i liked bully a lot. i'm pretty in favor of any game that tries to get into a world that's not ersatz D&D, space marines, japanese horror, etc...

M@tt He1g3s0n: oh u mad cuz im stylin on u (Matt Helgeson), Thursday, 25 January 2007 17:33 (nineteen years ago)

I now need to buy Bully. How I'll fit it in between God of War, PofP Sands of Time and Vice City I don't know. At this point my hands are so confused that each time I play one of those games it takes me a half hour to relearn the key configurations!
