Girls seem to be more realistic in this regard. Their training is more rigorous than boys'.
But, it is my observation that looks, while often important, are not deterministic in relationship-forming. Attraction comes in many, many flavors. It's a good idea to keep plugging nickels into the slot and pulling the handle.
