..or any other sort of dead giveaway. Have you ever talked with someone a few times, thought they were interesting, and then been told he/she is in fact married? I know it's not foolproof, but I'm going to have the finger-checking instinct for a while.

I still never think to. My eyesight kind of sucks and I'm not exactly detail-oriented.

I never think to look but I really should start.

my sister is like a hawk when it comes to these things. i'm still pretty oblivious.

dahlin (dahlin), Tuesday, 12 July 2005 00:17 (twenty years ago)

Never have. It's not that big a priority. I'll check right before I fuck them. Otherwise, they'll be friends. I'd hate to think I was so much on the prowl that I'd check for wedding rings.

My wife has to flash her ring at potential public suitors fairly often.

about a year ago. A lot of people aren't wearing them when they're out though.

J-rock (Julien Sandiford), Tuesday, 12 July 2005 00:57 (twenty years ago)

I'll check right before I fuck them.

mark p (Mark P), Tuesday, 12 July 2005 01:03 (twenty years ago)

I never think to do that. The few married people that I know seem like they throw it out there almost immediately. If there was only a quick way to know about those in LTRs though, I'd be a happier girl...

Candicissima (candicissima), Tuesday, 12 July 2005 01:07 (twenty years ago)

i never did. i don't even remember which finger the ring is supposed to go on.

Amateur(ist) (Amateur(ist)), Tuesday, 12 July 2005 01:15 (twenty years ago)

If she leaves some of her jewellery behind by mistake and I notice it on the bedside table a few days later, I'll ask the next girl "hey, does this look like a wedding ring to you?"

Jarlr'mai (jarlrmai), Tuesday, 12 July 2005 07:57 (twenty years ago)
