they've gotta be super-careful this time

s1ocki (slutsky), Wednesday, 13 July 2005 16:43 (twenty years ago)

Sure.

Some agencies report the weather is to blame, others say a technical fault.

two years pass...

WTF???

thank you.

Stupid teetotaling NASA jerks. The Russians had an ample supply of vodka and cognac on board Mir but since the new station is a joint US/Russian project, the Americans insisted that ISS remain dry.

Was it one of those drunk guys who cut that computer's cables ("sabotage") in an attempt to make it wireless?

StanM, Friday, 27 July 2007 06:28 (eighteen years ago)

"bottle-to-throttle" rule!

Spencer Chow, Friday, 27 July 2007 17:21 (eighteen years ago)

I've got to remember that one. I can't imagine there's anything in space to do besides getting drunk.

Abbott, Friday, 27 July 2007 17:58 (eighteen years ago)

when are the first two astronauts to have sex in space gonna own up to it

am0n, Friday, 27 July 2007 18:15 (eighteen years ago)

Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong will take that to their graves.

milo z, Friday, 27 July 2007 18:16 (eighteen years ago)

I saw that Imax movie about the space station, where it was like, WHOA, YOU'RE THERE, and you really got a sense of the space and what goes on there, and it... sucks. It's a fucking tin can held together with duct tape and taking a shit is an ordeal. Say no to space, kids.

xpost HA

kenan, Friday, 27 July 2007 18:17 (eighteen years ago)

How the hell did they make an imax film about the space station? The damn imax camera would fill half the place.

mh, Friday, 27 July 2007 18:18 (eighteen years ago)

(or Buzzstrong, as they're known in hollywood circles)

am0n, Friday, 27 July 2007 18:18 (eighteen years ago)

Apparently they did it. I witnessed it, in all of its pointless boring-ness. The Tom Cruise voiceover was priceless, too. "Space... is a very special place." WORST. IMAX. EVAR.

Should I put off going to work tomorrow to try to see Endeavor fly over head? My morning route takes me past NASA Ames.

i saw it today!

YAY! Pics!!?

Oh and dammit: Endeavour. (Why is our space shuttle English.)

Claudia Schiffer Kills Frog (Leee), Friday, 21 September 2012 05:49 (thirteen years ago)

What I love about the Endeavour shuttle is it has a bit of Capt. James Cook's original Endeavour on board. If you'd told him that one day part of his ship would have been flying through space far over head, it would have blown his mind

Will upload video when I get home!

seven years pass...

I'm excited to have NASA back in the game of sending astronauts to space, but really wish it didn't have to be tainted by Musk.
