i mean its all hear, the post painterly attention to craft, the crass colours, the reclaiming lost genre paintings, and its almsot cliched, but she paints well, has an attention to detail, and seems to be liking what she does. (ie every fucking painter in LA since Ed Ruscha)

plus drawings of pirates--should we forget that pirates werent really heros, they tended towards the cruel, the sadisitc, the colonial, etc---where will the deadwood for pirated be?

how do we feel (part of the big group show summering away at LA Louver right now--for those folx in hollywood)
