Well, I went camping on Monday with my mom and her boyfriend and we were planning on staying till Thursday morning. We began driving home on Wednesday morning instead. Why you ask?? My mom rolled down a hill and broke her ribs Tuesday night while I was sleeping. I didn't know this till Wed. morning.

I just feel so bad because I hadn't gotten any sleep Mon. or Tues. night, so when my mom was moaning from the pain after she got back in the tent from her fall, I yelled at her and told her to shut up. Oh....

Well, she's doing fine, I guess. I'm still kind of in a state of shock.

Well, I'm just grateful that all the time before the accident was quite enjoyable.

Thanks. I really hope she heals soon. She can't drive at this point and we're planning on driving up to Portland in a rental car so I can go to a rock and roll camp for girls, but if she's not better by then, I shouldn't complain (even though I'll want to cry and scream my head off, well, not that extreme) because it's better for her to get well.

Although, my knee is still swollen ( I tore my ACL almost three months ago) and I can't quite bend it back yet, and they put me in the back seat of the car, crammed with all the stuff we brought with us to go camping. When I got out of the car to enter the hospital in Fresno, my knee began to hurt so much.

I think that's may be a reason this whole situation feels so surreal. I just recently got my first serious injury, and so did my mom.

At least we can both walk right now.

Advice: Drunks and/or clumbsy people should not be doing things that will get them hurt, like walking on unstable ground.
Sad to say this, but it sounds redally funny to me. People should not go camping, especially those who have a tendancy to do stupid things like drink and then attempt mountain climbing.
