Airport wi-fi = classic, especially if you're waiting out a weather delay and/or stuck in a small airport with nothing to do.

That said, I'm not surprised it's not secure -- the idea is to get everyone with all flavors of OS/clients/hardware on board, and any security is going to shut some people out and generate complaints.

Only airport I've encountered where the wi-fi even requires a sign-in is Fort Wayne. Quad Cities was the most troublesome -- I blue-screened three times trying to connect and finally gave up.

EWR, BOS, DTW, and SEA all require sign in, they're each about $7/24 hours. Unfortunately, those are the 4 airports I'm always in.

Yea, I was in BOS. Fuck that shit dudes. $7 so I can leak all my personal info / unencrypted passwords to other hax0rs like me. Fuck that. I should have just cloned someone's hardware address and gone online.

Thanks to NEXT, I always read "wifi" as "Wifey".

eight years pass...

there has to be a website that compiles wifi passwords all over the country, like even if only for coffee shops and airports and universities, etc., right? I am not a laptop hobo but there are times when I need to duck in somewhere where you're supposed to buy something or be a card carrying whatever and I just need the internet for a sec.
