Is there a market for Outsider Literature?

i walk around the city and see homeless dudes always writing stuff down. like pages and pages of stuff. one guy near my work is always reading the dictionary and listening to classical music.

does any of this stuff get published? homeless writing? writings of the mentally ill?

also, is there some sort of movement by "skilled writers" to mimic the style of these so-called "outisders"? something akin to the CoBrA artists or Picasso "borrowing" from the Shona "folk artists" from Zimbabwe?

I got the first installment of one of these things the other day as sort of a novelty birthday present, so I supposed that's one small niche market.

all found photos. what's so great is all these photos that people prolly thought were mistakes are actually what many photographers are trying to do with their stuff to be abstract
