Aint-it-cool.com:Classic or dud

Yeah, recently it has lost what power it had by Harry Knowles allowing himself to be sucked into Hollywood bullshit world. The studios take the uber-fan-boy around the set, invite him to private screnings and parties... well, Harry couldn't help but have his head turned - all his dreams have come true. The result: Good reviews for Godzilla, Blair Witch 2, Gone in 60 Seconds etc.

It seems though that the critisism coming from the 'talkbacks' have finally seeped through his fat head and, despite being wined and dined by the director, he gave the Rollerball remake a damning review, and has even erred over AI: Artificial Intelligence.

But no, it's crap. The talkbacks can be the best thing about it still, and despite those who post 'Matrix rocks! Moulin Rouge is for faggots!' responses, it can be wittily acerbic at times. As for the site as a whole, unless you are riveted by every single scrap of minutiae concerning the new Spiderman movie, it's a little dull.

Saying all that, I quite like Harry & co's gushy, fan-boy enthusiasm and I'll still go there before, say Dark Horizons and especially the more dry movie sites. So I won't say Dud... but it ain't that cool either.

I also used to be a regular visitor, I haven't looked at it in ages, though. Without re-visiting, I'm pretty sure it's a dud. Too much hype over dreck. Not enough quality writing.
