Has anyone else seen The Descent (UK Horror Film)?

IT IS SCARY!!!

i don't go and see horror films much - not because i'm too scared but rather because i'm hardly ever scared by them. i wen't along to see this last night and it is, in parts, just UNBELIEVABLY SCARY- i jumped a foot in the air about 4 or 5 times. there are some dodgy moments (some of the dialogue and characterisation) and occasionally some poor special effects (especially when the director, goes for CGI rather than "real" effects) but i can't remember being so scared by a film since i was a about ten years old and watching things i shouldn't have been watching. The director, Niel Marshall, is very imaginative with his limited budget. it's not a masterpiece or anything but if you're into horror it's well worth checking out.

Dog soldiers was good esp. the bit when the dog gets his intestines... yes!

I liked the way there were no men in it.

It was quite scary, but not very.

It reminded me I'd like to try caving.

It reminded me never to go anywhere near caving. I thought it got a lot less scary when the monsters came along.

That would have been a very quick remake. No, The Cave is different and from the trailer looks awesomely bad.

I watched this movie (the proper version with the proper ending) just once, in a cold flat in China with my new roommate, a big proto-alt-right guy from Georgia who had just been telling me over dinner how they should just kill homeless people. When it finished he said "watching that just makes me look around and wonder what I could use as a weapon in here." I locked my bedroom door that night.
