I have heard good things about this film

Gear! (Gear!), Thursday, 21 July 2005 19:41 (twenty years ago)

It's really really good.

It's not that recent though is it? I thought a caught it more than a year ago...

I watched it not too long ago and recommend it. Hallyday and Rochefort (akak Terry Gilliam's almost-Don Quixote) are both great.

Johnny Hallyday est à la fois un grand acteur américain et et un grand acteur moderne (pléonasme ?). Il est le seul qui intrigue et accroche l'attention dans ce film aussi vivant et animé que le musée Grévin.

that translates to "johnny hallyday has a really icky goatee and has probably had a lot of work done besides."

I thought it was just okay, to be honest.

PeopleFunnyBoy (PeopleFunnyBoy), Thursday, 21 July 2005 23:14 (twenty years ago)

Adam, have you seen any episodes of The Future Is Wild?

it doesn't really have anything to do with anything!

milton parker (Jon L), Thursday, 21 July 2005 23:23 (twenty years ago)

Damn, this made me think of Trois Couleurs: Blanc in a way.

Kitten, the body needs it, the body cries out for Ian Riese-Moraine! (Eastern Ma, Friday, 22 July 2005 00:37 (twenty years ago)

Oh wow, is L'Homme Du Train really the name? I thought that was just a joke-French name that he made up.

Hurting (Hurting), Friday, 22 July 2005 03:15 (twenty years ago)

No.

I didn't make it up.

If you are an American you probably know it as THE MAN ON THE TRAIN.

Adam In Real Life (nordicskilla), Friday, 22 July 2005 03:50 (twenty years ago)

If you are an American you probably know it as THE MAN ON THE TRAIN have never seen a subtitled film in your life.

Amateur(ist) (Amateur(ist)), Friday, 22 July 2005 04:05 (twenty years ago)

I am an American, and that is patently false.

I had to watch a subtitled film once in school.
