The Alessis were played by Gayle and Gillian Blakeney. Google led me to this:

The Blakeney twins made their first appearance on vinyl way before Neighbours - they were the back up singers in The Monitors' 1979 clip for What Will We Be Singing in the '80s?

The Blakeny twins had a short-lived recording 'career'. They had a single under the name of "The Twins" called 'All Mixed Up' out in early '91... produced by Stock/Aitken/Waterman. It did nothing on the charts. Then they followed it up with this 'success' in the UK, under the guise of Gayle & Gillian:
