you know the one. it had phil daniels in it and was probably the single best piece of british tv i've seen. i really want to get hold of this but it's not available on dvd. i can't use torrents or anything, so if anyone can get this i will happily pay/trade with you...

Never heard of it, but I bet it will come out sooner or later. We've been doing Juliet Bravo, so I don't think anything will escape the DVD treatment.

IIRC 'Holding On' was actually on BBC1 and I don't remember it featuring Phil Daniels. Might you be confusing it with Looking After JoJo?

Dave if you can get broadband access I'd say it's worth sussing out how to get torrents, esp. when shows like these probably are already doing the rounds on ukn0va.

it did have phil daniels.

if not available on dvd, try a torrent-y site. uknova have an explicit "if it's not on DVD, sharing captured VHS is ok" policy

oh yeah, phil daniels was the bulimic food critic and i just thought it was too good for bbc1

I never understood what it was about, though I didn't pay enough attention in the end.

Remember Births, Marriages And Deaths?

How come 'This Life' is still not on DVD?!
(Gossip is rife, incidentally, of a 'TL' 10-year reunion episode!)

But who will be Music Supervisor now that Ricky Gervais has gone on to bigger things?

Sociah T Azzahole (blueski), Tuesday, 26 July 2005 14:05 (twenty years ago)

how hard is it to play 'dummy' on loop?

N_RQ, Tuesday, 26 July 2005 14:06 (twenty years ago)

I remember it, it had my namesake, David Morrissey in it as a bent tax inspector. I take it you've had no joy on ebay.
