God bless you.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 26 July 2005 17:11 (twenty years ago)

YAY! :-)

nathalie's body's designed for two (stevie nixed), Tuesday, 26 July 2005 17:11 (twenty years ago)

Got the news about this the other day. Now there is love.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 26 July 2005 17:12 (twenty years ago)

love is all around us always. especially in the genitals. I hope to have a page too called "mike ahnley's famous recepies. " my gin soaked watermelon pie is a local favourite

Mike Hanle y 3000 (hanle y 3000), Tuesday, 26 July 2005 17:22 (twenty years ago)

this is pretty much delight in my otherwise bleak life.

Allyzay knows a little German (allyzay), Tuesday, 26 July 2005 17:24 (twenty years ago)

Oh Jesus Hanle y I love you dearly: ever since I heard "An Arguement for Sugar" I have loved your music in the most sincere non-novelty way. You do genuinely beautiful things, and I can't wait to run home immediately after work and download every mp3 on that site.

This is doubly amazing because just yesterday I was cleaning files from my hard drive and came across my 2002 remix/cover of "An Arguement for Sugar," which I evidently never completed -- it was like baby hip-hop with horns and one of the first best things I ever recorded digitally.

nabisco (nabisco), Tuesday, 26 July 2005 17:26 (twenty years ago)

Where are j.lu and jel to celebrate this great news!

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 26 July 2005 17:27 (twenty years ago)

This is the only good news I've heard in quite a while. I can't wait to check it out later when I'm at home.

Leon C. (Ex Leon), Tuesday, 26 July 2005 17:28 (twenty years ago)

I had no idea you were so prolific, either (ha) -- Pulse Code Modulations for Every Mood! But where has your full-album cover of Dots and Loops gone off to?

nabisco (nabisco), Tuesday, 26 July 2005 17:28 (twenty years ago)

THank you all for your kind encouragement! I am tensely waiting for someone to say "you should take that all offline immediately!" - self confidence is not my forte.
I realy want to put the dots and loops casio version on the site, but I worry stereolab will sue me, or their record label or whatever. I wonder fi they have ever heard it? I mailed a cd to them once. They probably get so many cds they use them as clays for shotgun practice.

I'm also going to uploaD CARTOONS i HAVE MADE!

Mike Hanle y 3000 (hanle y 3000), Tuesday, 26 July 2005 18:31 (twenty years ago)

mark p (Mark P), Tuesday, 26 July 2005 18:32 (twenty years ago)

Yay!

Gotta download asap. I even like the "cover".

crown victoria (dymaxia), Tuesday, 26 July 2005 22:29 (twenty years ago)

I have made many covers of songs but I didnt put any of them up for fear of some kind of legal action. I wonder if I would be sued or something. Maybe I can send cookies to the bands to appease them?

Mike Hanle y 3000 (hanle y 3000), Wednesday, 27 July 2005 11:26 (twenty years ago)

Mike, I heard you on the radio in May!!!

tokyo nursery school: afternoon session (rosemary), Wednesday, 27 July 2005 11:50 (twenty years ago)

my god you're right! It must have been Shari Elf's doing! She lives in kansas city and I "knew" her sort of. I sent her a cd of mine. I guess she heard it after all. wow, that gives me shivers of excitement! thanks for pointing that out!
My friend in Kaiju Big Battel ( http://www.kaiju.com )recently met Wayne from FlamingLips- he said he was eating with them. too bad he didn't hide a cd of mine in his backpack. maybe he would like it.

Jesus Christ, I'm such a freakin fame seeker. How egomanical of me. Why can't I just be content. I must be calm.

Mike Hanle y 3000 (hanle y 3000), Wednesday, 27 July 2005 12:53 (twenty years ago)

Mike, please study the following lesson on the correct use of apostrophes.

(But also major congrats on the new domain and web page!)

j.lu (j.lu), Wednesday, 27 July 2005 15:50 (twenty years ago)

The parental warning on "Diamonds in the Moonlight" is very thoughtful. Young ears will be protected.

gypsy mothra (gypsy mothra), Wednesday, 27 July 2005 16:01 (twenty years ago)

whats wrong with my apostrophe's?

I madea "radio clean" version of diamonds in the moolight but I kept forgetting about all the bitches so I had to keep doing it again - bitch kept popping up!
yes - save the choldren from the realities of human speech

Mike Hanle y 3000 (hanle y 3000), Wednesday, 27 July 2005 16:05 (twenty years ago)

I wore jeans to work in honor of "Jeans to Work."

nabisco (nabisco), Wednesday, 27 July 2005 16:23 (twenty years ago)

Given such an excess of talent and lack of hair gel I predict that by and by you shall be monstrous.

Aimless (Aimless), Wednesday, 27 July 2005 17:24 (twenty years ago)

excellent, nabisco. I bet everyone felt more relaxed.

aimless, its odd taht you say that because I have mouse inmy hair today. but it doesnt look wet, it just looks more fluffy that usual.

Mike Hanle y 3000 (hanle y 3000), Wednesday, 27 July 2005 18:29 (twenty years ago)

Hey, Mike - what I meant to say was that I liked this little collage:

Carol Stream (dymaxia), Wednesday, 27 July 2005 18:38 (twenty years ago)

huell howser (chaki), Wednesday, 27 July 2005 19:18 (twenty years ago)

Mike Hanle y 3000 (hanle y 3000), Wednesday, 27 July 2005 19:51 (twenty years ago)

hanle y i swear, someone ought to put you in charge of the entire planet. hi btw!

Kim (Kim), Wednesday, 27 July 2005 22:33 (twenty years ago)

I AM in charge of the planet. That's why I am always so NERVOUS. I was just drinking some chocolate syrup. that is not healthy. How is the clean city?

Mike Hanle y 3000 (hanle y 3000), Thursday, 28 July 2005 00:04 (twenty years ago)

this is good news

I am a big fan of the songs of yours I've heard

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 28 July 2005 00:07 (twenty years ago)

i don't even know you yet i am very excite d!

mookieproof (mookieproof), Thursday, 28 July 2005 00:14 (twenty years ago)

excitement is contagious! I am pleased that no early 80's met's sluggers will be able to dominate you!
thanks RJG

Mike Hanle y 3000 (hanle y 3000), Thursday, 28 July 2005 00:17 (twenty years ago)

it's the same old peace, order, and "good" government up here (thanks for that?) you must come for a visit sometime.

Kim (Kim), Thursday, 28 July 2005 00:35 (twenty years ago)

HANLE Y!!! OMGWTF!!!!!

Eisbär (llamasfur), Thursday, 28 July 2005 01:15 (twenty years ago)

i am also a fan of yer songs -- and now that you have paypal, i shall finally pay for the nice cd sample of yer work that you sent me 2 1/2 years ago!!

Eisbär (llamasfur), Thursday, 28 July 2005 01:27 (twenty years ago)

thanks Eisbar! The money will go to keeping the site up. I am considering trying to sell cd's too - probably just make them on my pc and print out labels myself as I do not anticipate a surge of orders. I am working out the details. Maybe I should have a fan club too, with official badges and signed certificates of member ship - and hats

Mike Hanle y 3000 (hanle y 3000), Thursday, 28 July 2005 15:04 (twenty years ago)

I think I would buy CDs!

RJG (RJG), Thursday, 28 July 2005 15:06 (twenty years ago)

I second the good RJG's pledge.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Thursday, 28 July 2005 15:11 (twenty years ago)

i think i wld join the fan club (i want a 'button')

Ward Fowler (Ward Fowler), Thursday, 28 July 2005 15:14 (twenty years ago)

ok - I will sell you cd's - my wife has been making really nice cover art for them, even inserts for the part that goes behind the cd!
Yes - I can make buttons - perhaps with a quote like DESTROY MY DESIRE!
I should give talks too - I wonder what I could get for a speaking fee " Tonite - Mike Hanle y talks on the Evil of Masturbating with Knives"

Mike Hanle y 3000 (hanle y 3000), Thursday, 28 July 2005 16:05 (twenty years ago)

personally, i'm sold on the hats.

Eisbär (llamasfur), Thursday, 28 July 2005 16:06 (twenty years ago)

I'm in the process of taking some older albums, like Popular Science from 1195 and puting them on minidisc to preserve them from tape. I am shocked at the poor sound quality. I really didnt know what I was doing in those days as far as sound quality is concerned. But still ,it has it's charm. I think I was running vocals through the guitar pedals.

Would the hats be proud captain hats or like baseball caps?

Mike Hanle y 3000 (hanle y 3000), Thursday, 28 July 2005 16:19 (twenty years ago)

Inverted Devo energy domes!

jel -- (jel), Friday, 29 July 2005 16:04 (twenty years ago)

or pope hats!

(seriously -- baseball caps are fine. probably the cheapest option, too.)

Eisbär (llamasfur), Friday, 29 July 2005 16:05 (twenty years ago)

like, mesh foam ones? or will that trend soon die? These hats need to last a lifetime. Pehaps devo hats would be good. Or burger king-like crowns?
