Images...almost anything by Chagall. Especially those red nudes and flying lovers over a blue background with bouquets of flowers. Right now Ennio Morricone's metti una sera a cena is also creating that pleasant warm buzz feeling.

A friend -- she's not on the board, but she'd be embarassed if I named her and all...

Hmm, it's a tough one; sensuality takes so many forms, and lots of music addresses it... but my current vote is "Vespertine".

buddy holly singing "not fade away". but not even that seems to whip my flagging libido at present!

Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands , leather or velvet , sweat and the smell of ozone or limes . in fact its all about the smell of limes.

anthony, Monday, 17 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

What about chocolate limes?

I've been trying to write about Sad-Eyed Lady... for about six months now Anthony so I'd be interested to hear what you have to say. I'm not even sure how good I think it is.

the human voice .. especially when channeled musically through the lungs of Elizabeth Fraser, Björk, Suzanne Perry of Love Spirals Downwards, Melissa Mileski of Rosewater Elizabeth/Underwater .. though ex-CNN anchor Lynne Russell will do nicely.

raises the question of why men attempting similar levels of sensuality in song are often mocked (Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode, or the 'feminine' approach of mid-period Robert Smith) ... though an obvious answer stems from standard gender roles, etc.
