All I need is about 2MB of space so I can post PDFs of the first several chapters of the book I wrote and let people d/l them and read them. My email service doesn't toss in free web space as a bonus feature, so I need to go scrounging.
I don't want to subject innocent bystanders to any more than the petty annoyance of a banner ad or something of that nature. Even better would be a wholly benign space on somebody's server, donated out of a heart overflowing with goodness and benificence.

After seeing the universe of fabulous free services ILx has come up with for my consideration I suppose the best thing to do would be to bite the bullet and go with a relatively cheap web hosting service - the $5/month dribble of blood on the credit card sort of a place.
