I know it's cliché, but once you get past the "this dog looks like a digitally animated horror dog" thing, you'll find Sam to be just another grumpy but loving old dog. Though I can't help stop ROFFLING whenever the dog looks up with eyes shining and lets out one of those demonic moans.

I just hope that the owner isn't purposely keeping the dog in pain just for this ugly dog notoriety.. she brags about all his health problems, as if, she was aiming for the ugly dog title.. although i'm sure she was just trying to take care of the dog and make Sam live as long as possible despite the physical side effects.. again, I hope Sam isn't in constant pain. It's hard to tell... he does groan quite a bit.. but I couldn't tell whether it was because he just gets annoyed being handled that way, or it HURTS to be handled that way.

Otherwise, this woman would call Clive Barker or other major horror movie makers and get this dog some royal treatment via Hollywood. Seriously.

You can tell in that CBS video that rubbing his paws is a cue to "speak," — either that or his feet hurt and he moans out of discomfort when she rubs them. I'd guess the former. But damn, that's one ugly baby.
