Modern art, theatre, film, music, dance-heads: What should I see at the Biennale?

I'm going to be in Venice during the Biennale, the first week in September. I've been to Venizia before and so am quite eager to take advantage of my timing... Problem is, I've nary a clue what's worth seeing, aside from some of the more obvious films (Drawing Restraint 9, Brothers Grimm, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, Constant Gardener, etc).

Any suggestions? Am open to any and all coolness, but better yet if it isn't dull.

i think that ed ruscha is the american this year--well worth seeing.
gore vidals caligiua is also highly recommneded
the expreince of art (sp) is supposed to be medicore, though it contains major art.
id also check out wales, france, nigeria (i think), and gautamalea
