Really. They just booted out a U.S. airbase there, the one supporting most of the Afghani humanitarian efforts right now.

so, does this mean that the loony running that place is no longer "a friend of our's in the War on Terra"? Are any Admin types gunna start talking about any of the other whack-ass shit the guy has been up to?

Islam Karimov is a throwback who doesn't want democracy and who wants to use the specter of Islamic terrorism to cover his persecution of the opposition. The US served his needs for a while. Not anymore, I guess.
