I'm envious that you had a big bunch of flowers this morning - i can't remember the last time I was given a bunch of flowers (which didn't come from a petrol station forecourt, anyway).

Happy happy joy joy!!! I just had one too! The 27th. A bee stung me on my ring finger and I had to rush into the house and get off my wedding ring with the help of dish soap before my finger swole up like a bratwurst and the ring would have to be cut off by a brawny steelworker. The birthday improved after that.

Thank you so much, everyone! My own thread! I'm really overwhelmed and a bit weepy...
It's been a terrific day. The massage really centered everything - forced to relax, forced to NOT THINK - good for us all, probably, eh?

Glad to know Cyrus is enjoying pooping in his birthday presents. I shall not follow his example.
I really, really, really appreciate this...it has made my day, and I actually cried when I first saw it.
I love this community - it's hard to be engaged if you're not feeling 100 percent confident and strong - and sometimes I write things that sound funny to me, but don't read that way. But I love knowing it's here, and reading along. it has made me wittier and more succinct, online, and provided great, mystifying acronyms to bandy about to the befuddlement of people IRL.
Glad to know Sewanee is still in the running!
I'm a very, very fortunate person - I truly know that today.
OK, I'm off to sing Irish/Scottish folk songs at a seisun. last week, two town councilmen bought me a drink after my first song- now they have ANOTHER reason to purchase my beverage.
("Lakes of Pontchatrain" and "Banks and Braes o' Bonny Doon" are on the song agenda tonight - for any fans of trad. seisun singer repertoire.)

No cake for breakfast. I ate some chocalate biscuits, at work, that our clinican brought back from her trip to Brighton, England. Noone else would touch them because they're "digestives"- they thought they were laxative cookies.
Birthweek continues - out to dinner with Kevin tonight, but No Dancing! That picture reminds me that I make peculiar faces and gestures when attempting to boogie.
