The new super hyped "edgy" FX sitcom. It was funny, I guess, in a kind of Sex in the City crossed with Curb Your Enthusiasm way, although it wasn't as funny as either of those shows. INteresting to see something dealing with male eating disorders which I gather happen more often than they're talked about (the creator/director of the show apparently has some issues of his own). But I liked the girl he met on the subway more than anyone else on the show and she's probably not coming back. The clips for future shows looked funnier.

Also, "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" was pretty good, maybe better than "Starved".

Clips for future shows always look funnier because they freeze on a reaction shot for like 1/2 a second and then cut with a whoosh and a sound effect for something else. In the real scene something else happens next and it's usually not very funny.. just sayin. I can't tell you how many jokes from trailers I've thought were absolutely hysterical which, when I saw them in the movie, I was like "wait, that's not even supposed to be a joke!"

But I'm down with FX. I like how people can swear a streak as blue as they fucking want. Am I right that the language on FX is unprecedented on basic cable? Don't bring up South Park. They don't say "fuck" on South Park.
