Europe in late August/Early September--any cool music events happening?

hi all,
i'm planning on visiting a friend who's working at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh and then will take a trip somewhere else....haven't decided where, but would like to base my destination on any cool music events. I heard about the Reading Festival, but wouldn't mind hitting something up in continental Europe.

It could either be a festival, a concert or just some fun party...Any ideas?
