The closest thing I can think of to something like that is this Pashley:

Looks a bit chunky and industrial though. Can't think who the US equivalent might be.

Let's try that again...

Hasn't got the pretty woven baskets or the wicker child seat, I'm afraid! Just thinking how much sense it makes to have a shopping basket on the front if you're carrying a kid on the back, just as a bit of ballast. Really hard to keep the front wheel under control if you're starting off at traffic lights going uphill otherwise.

Ooooh, this Pashley is nice...

Anyhow, good luck!

Reise and muller have a few bikes in this sort of categry but they are a bit germanic looking. The above bike can have 2 child seat on it if you so desire. Avenue, Culture and Delite in the same vien as the above gemini.

They are very pretty and comfortable. BUt if you use'em here, don't fucking ride on the pavement like they do in Japan. I hate that. :-)

one month passes...
Regarding Momovelo. Kai's shop closed down 1 to 2 years ago. He tried his best to bring unusual bieks to Berkeley, but it is a small and expensive market to serve...unless he had stuck to the used Japanese bike option. He had one of the best shops in the US - per his focus.

If you want one of these bikes - either check out Craig's list in Berkeley or buy a cheap air ticket to Japan and get one used cheap.
