I know people who have had serious drug addictions & have been involved with a laundry list of illicit substances, some for long periods of time which involved intervals of homelessness and/or incarceration. Some of them got clean and got their shit together, and some still struggle with relapsing amid fits and starts of trying to move forward. And yeah, you can see the permanent scars that such experiences leave on peoples mental faculties, but I'm wondering what you have to be doing, and for how long, to scramble your thought process into the fractured series of non-sequitors Haim puts on display. We could probably save billions in the War on Drugs if that video was shown to 7th graders as a cautionary measure.

Then he asked me for some change to take the bus home and asked me to use the phone so that he could call his mom so she could come and pick him up. He looked quite pathetic, I must say. I then asked him for an autograph for my girlfriend. He seemed quite happy to give me one.
