bah hahaha i thought you were declaring your undying love for our noble StevieT!! oh, the mirth :)

i really love those chequered chef's trousers that, uh, chefs wear. i wouldn't wear them in public though, i just think it's nice to have cooking trousers. like cooking brandy (which i am also v fond of), but with trousers. as for what trousis you should get, hmm well i like v.dark indigo jeans like what my boyfwiend wears, but i'm not all that big on knowing. WHERE IS CABBAGE WITH HIS TROUSERLY ADVICE??

katie, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

did i say denims, no i said trousers .

anthony, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Black ones, get some black ones! Some nice black, designer trousers by Nom D!

rainy, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

jeans are trousis! you didn't specify which type!

katie, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

yes, black trousis = good. poly cotton mix for lightness and breatheability yet fewer creases and less ironing!

katie, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

no tapered legs please.

rainy, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i thought trousers were non denim pants

anthony, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i just thought trousis were those long bifurcated garments. if there is a distinction between trousis and jeans in Canada i now know better! rainy is OTM about no tapering legs as well!

katie, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

sorry I had gone home by the time trouser advice was needed. The trousers that have been catching my eye lately are quite heavy, almost herringbone dark grey ones. I've seen them in a few shops like Jigsaw and Zara and they look like the ideal winter trouser.

And yes, tapering legs = bad, especially with my chunky thighs. not flat fronted either though, in my view a trouser needs a crease, but jeans never do.

Do nice black cords qualify as trousers?

Gale Deslongchamps, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i was complemented on my shiny/graphite-y trousers the other day! a first ever. River Island. cheap.

to get on a stage soon with foxgloves2 & sing. Especially Swallow On My Neck.

David, Wednesday, 19 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

arttheory trousers = the boring ones that every glassons chick wears (except of course the ones you refer to are Nom D so better cut and made for those with lots of money?) Anthony, I think you should go with something garish and unique. PURPLE PURPLE PURPLE PURPLE PURPLE!! or find some nice curtain fabric and someone to sew you something superb.

Mooro: is good song. Didn't know you had it. Have you heard Morrissey's version?

the pinefox, Sunday, 23 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Joe: can't remember if I have a recording of it or not, & am too tired to check right now anyway. I do however have an abiding memory (why use that awful old clichéd tautology right now? I dunno) of it being sung twice in Chalet 646 at ATP 2001 & can live on that for now, or at least until you two do perform it again.

Soon.
