One of my friends almost got kicked out of school for making one of these, and the internets of yore seemed like it was chock full of them. So what caused the decline of this stupid and hilarious phenomenon?

I remember stumbling over this thing when I first started using the InterWeb back in 1998. Besides all the Ate My Balls pages, the original "Mr. T Ate My Balls" site also spawned lots of Mr. T related pages, like "Mr. T. versus KISS" or "Mr. T versus He-Man".
