The sex scene at the end of Arthur Matthew's Well remembered days. I had to be asked to leave my office, because I was crying with laughter.

Stick your head up my arse indeed.

Kenneth Williams as Ramblin' Syd Rumpo--the doyen of folk singers--on some BBC tape. "Ribald yet lugubrious." I was listening to it at the beach in Santa Monica this summer, it felt really odd and incongrous in that setting and all the more hysterical

the Powerpuff Girls deranging Professor Utonium while he's trying to work. MojoJojo's ransom note when he kidnaps the Mayor ("i have kidnapped him! taken him against his will! he does not want to be here!")

the Interrupting Sheep joke.

Eddie Murphy singing the "I like big butts" song at the end of Shrek.

Richard E Grant on The Kumars at No 42.

Graffito written (in small, cultivated hand) on a Wyclef Jean album poster at Tottenham Court Road station:

'This man is the devil. You know it. I know it. He knows it. And the Lord God Almighty knows it'

I assure you I found it horribly gruesome in the cinema, but right now the way Amelie's mother dies is the funniest thing in the world.

Graham, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I thought it was rubbish.

One of the zines in the latest Frank's APA is entitled 'Would Grade Near Mint But For Shit Stain'.

I find that amusing.

The "I have special..."/"Needs?", "No, I am a special..."/"Needs child?" exchange between Martin Freeman and Mackenzie Crook in "The Office" stopped my breathing for two minutes.

I had multiple seizures during Armando Iannuci's "heaven's dead dance routine".

Alright Nick, the joke itself is rubbidge, but that just makes it better: the way it's presented is perfect.

(I also saw The Others today, and am now totally ROWR for NIcole Kidman. Though that would mean being rowr for Sara's mate Becka, who is identical in every way, excepting the Bridlington accent (It is a v.v.sexy Bridlington accent))
