Fuck Atkins.

One of my favourite meals is pizza, galic bread and noodles.

All carbs, little protein. And I'm as lean as an Aldi chicken.

Gimme more!

Spaghetti Carbonara.

Mix the cooked bacon, and the uncooked egg mixture with the Very hot spaghetti, and the spag cooks the egg. Classic.

Porkpie (porkpie), Tuesday, 6 September 2005 12:33 (twenty years ago)

Pizza with potatoes on, mmm.

Mädchen (Madchen), Tuesday, 6 September 2005 12:37 (twenty years ago)

NickB (NickB), Tuesday, 6 September 2005 12:40 (twenty years ago)

NickB (NickB), Tuesday, 6 September 2005 12:41 (twenty years ago)

I have had almost 0 carbs today! Not normal for me.

Archel (Archel), Tuesday, 6 September 2005 12:42 (twenty years ago)

Mmmmm. Baked potatoes.

Puff pastry and baby potatoes.

I'm salivating.

Mercury Fillings, Tuesday, 6 September 2005 12:44 (twenty years ago)

- something like samosas or perogies - essentially bread-wrapped potatoes. Choice of beverage: carb-rich and delicious beer.
- if you make dessert a meal (which, y'know, happens), then most desserts. carb-wrapped carbs galore.
(I am very glad right now that I do not have pms and just ate breakfast b/c I would be down at the jewish bakery stuffing my face with onion croissants and chocolate rugala. Which could also be a meal.)

do chinese takeaways in Britain do "3 in 1", fried rice/chips/curry sauce?

Ronan (Ronan), Tuesday, 6 September 2005 12:56 (twenty years ago)

No Ronan because they mingle the wrong type of grease! Anyway I refuse to argue this without a pint in my head so TUFF.

I had a crisp sandwich for lunch on Sunday morning. Mmm walkers ready salted.

Lucretia My Reflection (Lucretia My Reflection), Tuesday, 6 September 2005 12:58 (twenty years ago)

Any sort of bread+potato combination is innately awesome. Crisp sandwiches, chip butties... fried-up old mash on toast!

NickB (NickB), Tuesday, 6 September 2005 13:06 (twenty years ago)

Homity Pie!

Basically mashed potato with peas, either on its own or baked in a pie.

Chewshabadoo (Chewshabadoo), Tuesday, 6 September 2005 13:07 (twenty years ago)

God is that what homity pie is? They used to serve something called that at school but it was just a load of lentils, old baked beans, potato and assorted leftovers. In a pie.

Archel (Archel), Tuesday, 6 September 2005 13:09 (twenty years ago)

Yeah Ronan! In the one container. The takeaway round my way offers a selection of these 'Jumbo Containers', Fried rice, chips and curry sauce/gravy, Fried Rice, Onion Rings and Chips (with curry sauce or gravy) Fried Rice, chicken balls and curry sauce (or gravy).

The permutations are endless, the food - revolting.

Mercury Fillings, Tuesday, 6 September 2005 13:17 (twenty years ago)

Rice covered in white sauce mmm. So wrong.

Trayce (trayce), Tuesday, 6 September 2005 14:09 (twenty years ago)

Condoleeza Rice covered in white sauce mmm. So wrong.

ken c (ken c), Tuesday, 6 September 2005 14:15 (twenty years ago)

Ken, you are a sick leeeetle monkey!

Trayce (trayce), Tuesday, 6 September 2005 14:16 (twenty years ago)

I had a slice of pizza last year that was sliced potatoes, fresh rosemary, and a cream sauce. Potato pizza. Fantastic.

Also, saag aloo with chapatis and rice. Done!

fields of salmon (fieldsofsalmon), Tuesday, 6 September 2005 21:42 (twenty years ago)
