Mark S, Dr C. etc are going into hibernation. But which brave posters are going to be awake through the Great Cold?

(i.e. posting during Christmas and Nu Year?)

Too-Ticky, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'll be around.

rosemary, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Looks like I'll be around yeah.

Ronan, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm going ski-ing!!

The Hemulen, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

You must be joking, I'll be either in the loving bosom of my family or in the pub in London. That is if I live that long with my bloody cold sniff sniff. My mum has suggested I conquer the virus with 'mind over matter'. She is turning into some kind of hippy.

Emma, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

i may be .

anthonyeaston, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Intermittently, yes!

Will, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I have to work until 8 on Christmas Eve and then get from London to Dorset. Otherwise I shall post a wee bit no doubt from the idyllic county.

Jonnie, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'm setting up camp. We right here.

David Raposa, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Away from Saturday 22 December, as far as possible from any computer, and not back until well after the New Year.

Cue cheers of unbounded joy from all other ILx posters.

Marcello Carlin, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Planning to take a computer with me to Devon (note: this will be the first computer ever to have made it outside the major metropolitan centres in the UK, apparently) so hopefully I'll be popping in from time to time. The main reason to take a pooter is to actually start putting some stuff up my blog a bit again, but who knows how *that* will go?

In Dorset, Jonnie? ("yes, I'd recommend it to anyone", har) Where?

Tim, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I meant to add festive best wishes and so on to everyone, whether they'll be here or not.

Tim, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I actually have a POOTER back home in Prestong with the MODERN INTERWEB so I'll probably post more than usual!

Sarah, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Away home from the 23rd to the 27th, no computer there, but after that back and posting away madly. 'Great Cold'? Whatever is this?

Ned Raggett, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

intermittently over the whole period, depending

gareth, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I will be here!!! Posting questions to rival the greatness of alphabet: search and destroy!! But happy christmas and new year and all that to everyone who is off to wherever!

james, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I will, I post from home anyway.

DG, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Just because I mostly lurk these days doesn't mean you can get away with it, Hopkins.

And by the way, 3-0.

Good luck, Jonnie, ignore the hataz. Anywhere near Portland?

Keeps ILE On Its Toes, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Back in the scrummy homely world of UNMETERED INTERWEB. So expect me posting at 4am.

Graham, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh, I'll be here. I may leave for a couple days to visit relatives, but not for long.

Maria, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Oh, I'll be here alright. Perhaps more than usual. It's only just dawned on me that this year I'll be the only Brit in the household (2 Americans, 1 Canadian, 3 Aussies, possibly 1 Spaniard) over the Xmas grubathon... where else will I be able to talk about football?

Michael Jones, Thursday, 20 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'll be just outside Wimborne in Dorset (yes, it's a lovely place). Hopefully a trip to the new Fitness First Dean Court Stadium on New Years Day to see the Cherries too!

Jonnie, Friday, 21 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Wimborne, very nice. If you get bored, Jonnie, you'll be very welcome to make to short trip down to sunny Exeter to see the City (we're playing Rochdale on Saturday 29th, should be rather better than the other night).

Happy Xmas to you too Robin.

Tim, Friday, 21 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

That could well prove to be very tempting. I missed out on tickets to the Spurs game away to Southampton on Boxing day (grrrrr) so I'm going to have to get my festive footy kicks elsewhere.

Jonnie, Friday, 21 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

We're also playing at home on Boxing Day, but it's against Swansea and at 1 p.m., so less of an incentive to make the trip, I'd have thought.

Tim, Friday, 21 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

HA! speak for yourselves, but I ain't getting frozen out, in fact I am going to be frolicing in the sun. That should not keep me away from ILE though so feel free to run the gamut of emotional responses, joy or more likely apathy, terror or boredom

Menelaus Darcy, Friday, 21 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I AM ALWAYS HERE, IN YORU HEARTS

Mike Hanle y, Friday, 21 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I shall be here whenever possible, & I look forward to it! Happy Holidays... :)

Gale Deslongchamps, Friday, 21 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I'll be here throughout now I've got my parents' computer sorted out. No IM as yet, but it's coming.

RickyT, Sunday, 23 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

I feel cheated y'know. I was supposed to be enjoying the heat and I am cold. Come back y'all and entertain me while I am huddled inside

Menelaus Darcy, Sunday, 23 December 2001 01:00 (twenty-four years ago)

Of course I'll be here. Computer = escape from family.
