So I meet Dawn for lunch, and decide upon a Yellow River Cafe lunch buffet. Get there and Ken Hom is sat outside. So, I guess that lunch is going to be fairly spectacular. And it was: Very nicely presented, and chilli'd up just right. We get our table and walk past, Ken smiles and says "Thank you", to which I reply apropos his drink "Well, at least the wine's recommended." He smiles, we sit, and we all get ours.

Apparently, as the restaurant has just had a refit, he's there along with the invited great and good of Reading (i.e. various councellors, MD of the Oracle shopping centre, some folk from the football team, and some press), as he is going to make the WORLDS BIGGEST NOODLE EVER! so check the news tonight. Alright, maybe just check the Reading Chronicle on Friday.)

I don't like non-stick stuff much, I reckon you're better with a non-coated pan that you can scrub properly, plus with modern uber-washing-up liquids a quick soak usually does the job.
