Chatter. Shut up before I kill you all!

No, no one else ever feels this way. That's why we've never had a thread about it before.

This is why I go on the interweb and type quietly about stupid shit.

So, some of you do share office space and are annoyed by constant chatter, if I am reading your sarcasm correctly? Interesting.

Annoying woman who KNOWS she is annoying, but apparently makes a point to annoy me, comes over and asks, "Can I be nosy?" I have my headphones on so I pretend not to hear. "Can I be nosy?" I look at her and half-smile, pulling down one earphone, "What?" "Can I be nosy?" "What?" "How's the other half?" "Fine." "How was her first day at school?" "Good." "Okay. That's all I wanted to know." Great fucking convo lady! Blow it out your stupid ass.

This is my life. And I can be a grumpy motherfucker in the morning (shocker).

Yeah, but an Ask A Question function is well easier to reach and doesn't ever give me a too busy 666666666666.666666666666666% poxy fuled thing.

Me too. Does it seem people talk to you more because they can sense you secretly hate them?

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!, Monday, 12 September 2005 14:10 (twenty years ago)

Yes. Right now in fact.

My local councillor has been talking about golf and gambling all day and going on about being a 'community leader' and being a 'high profile guy'. I want to kick him in the knee caps and pour hot wax on his stupid face.

imagine working in an office full of surburban midwestern breeder-types whose lives apparently revolved around go home from work, cooking dinner for their kids, watching American Idol, going to bed, then getting up the next day to go into work and discuss the previous night's American Idol. Repeat for 30 years.

Fortunately, i had clamshell headphones to block it all out, but my buddy was not so lucky.

Yes, and they also up the happy sunshine-meter, which I find all the more irritating. All I want in the AM is peace, quiet and coffee, not ridiculous fuckin' high-voume chatter about how your dog got sick over the weekend.

OTHER PEOPLE'S HAPPINESS MAKES ME WANT TO DESTROY HUMANITY.

The point is, ladies and gentlemen, that greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right. Greed works. Greed clarifies, cuts through and captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of it's forms - greed for life, for money, knowledge - has marked the upward surge of mankind and greed - you mark my words - will not only save Teldar Paper but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA. Thank you.
