Weird things.

A fairly easy looking question on, a procession of people answer incorrectly, and points at which no calls get through for five minutes at a time.

And points where the presenter just stands and waits with an enlarged wad of notes.

I watched this once. The "fairly easy question" thing is key. They rely on high volumes of calls to make money so they make questions appear easy but on many occasions there could be several correct answers.

From memory, so this may not be 100% accurate:
John has two cars. He buys another two cars every week for 12 weeks then sells three cars. How many wheels does he have?

So you think, 2 + (2 x 12) - 3 = 23 cars.
23 x 4 = 92 wheels

They then put through a collection of people who can't count, giving answers between 70 and a 300 until someone eventually gets through and says "92?" and is told he's incorrect. The presenter then says "I can see how you got 92 but you're not counting *every* wheel on the car."

So you think "Ah, forgot about the spare - 92 + 23 = 115!"

They then put through a collection of people who can't count, giving answers between 70 and 300 until someone eventually gets through and says "115?" and is told he's incorrect. The presenter then says "I can see how you got 115 but you're not counting *every* wheel on the car."

"Ahah!" you think, "STEERING WHEELS! ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FUCKING EIGHT!"

Of course that turns out to be wrong as well when it turns out fucking flywheels count. Then it turns out one of the cars is a Reliant Fucking Robin.

Worth watching for the excruciating minutes of dead airtime as they wait for another call.

Has anyone actually seen anyone winning on the Quiz channel? I have stuck with it for up to 45 minutes at a time and have yet to see anybody win a penny.

Well I only watched it that once and I gave up before anyone won. I got as far as steering wheels bit above then realised they could decide on any answer they wanted as the correct one.

...but I may watch it again. I like uncomfortable silences.

I called a couple times. Those dead silences are all of their own making!

I have seen a couple of winners, and that bonus board game too.

One gme was "gues how many pounds" and you see some notes. The answer, 351 or something like it, Cannot be made by using only notes!
