Post-surgical Aspen neck brace. I am wearing one right now. Commiserations? Fond memories? Advice?

Thanks. I'm achy but well. Apparently the intervertebral disk (c5-c6, for the experts) was all shredded on the left side and impinging on nerve. Now that's out and there's a plug of cadaver bone in its place.

Ew, huh?

My wife tells me my first words in the recovery room were, "I seem to be awake."
