Nickelodeon UK's schedules - Classic Or Dud?

Personally, mostly a DUD. Far too many repeats of the wretched Rugrats (how many times can you pull that "infant mishears thing said by adult" gag?) and Sabrina The Fuckpiece Teenage Shitbag Witch (Salem the cat is the only good thing about that show, give kitty his own series!) Oh yeah, and Kenan & Kel, a comedy so STOOPID (but in a bad way) you have to watch an episode to fully comprehend how appalling it is. And Sister Pissing Sister. And Renford Rejects (who had the audacity to have David Baddiel as a guest star one week). And Doug ("Dear Diary, today we learnt about condoms!" - Billy West). And that spectacularly boring show about kid skateboarders.

And these shows will never be taken off Nickelodeon's schedules ever. They're always on, when they could be doing something decent like showing repeats of Ren & Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life. I'll be sticking to Cartoon Network for my Kid-TV kicks, thank you...

(Only amusing thing about Rugrats: There's currently an advert on Nick UK for their Rugrats Christmas Day Marathon, where the announcer says "This Christmas we're giving you an amazing gift... a whole day of the Rugrats!" Given the frequency of both repeats of Rugrats episodes and Rugrats whole day marathons, this statement is like saying "This Christmas we're giving you an amazing gift... oxygen!")

I've noticed that Nickelodeon has been slipping in my cool book since I was about 7. Nickelodeon used to have rad shows: "You Can't do that on Television"; "Turkey Television"; "Today's Special"; "Are You Afraid of the Dark?"; "ROUND HOUSE" (hehe)--plus, a lot of weird afternoon japanimation movies. Plus, then they taunted us by introducing the best show ever, "Pete & Pete" and took THAT away from us, too! I do not understand the appeal of that show "Rugrats." What a dud. But while Nickelodeon is failing, the Disney Channel is our diamond in the rough.

Invader Zim is on Nick, right? Or is it on the Cartoon Network? Such a good cartoon. Now they're hyping it in Hot Topic (do you have those in the UK? "make yourself a social outcast for just a couple hundred bucks!" like head shops without the pot paraphenelia), but I remember seeing it for the first time last summer. I did this huge double- take: "That's Jhonen Vasquez art... but... yes, it's a children's cartoon. What the Fuck?!" Hoo, yeah. Invader Zim. Boy.

i did a double fucking take too, jonny the homicidal maniac is easily the worst-drawn comic of all time (besides poison elves) and i can't believe cartoon network would touch it with a ten foot pole.

GUTZ. LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE. DOUG. HEY DUDE. SALUTE YOUR SHORTS. All classic and essential to my youth. I wasn't really into Nick Arcade as much; kind of cheesy/unbelievable, even for a young'n like myself.)

Only a year ago did I realize that they didn't actually go INSIDE the video games on Nick Arcade. Until then I was mystified.

Anyone remember Welcome Freshman (if that's what it was called)?

OTM. Many a lazy Saturday and Sunday afternoon were spent watching those shows.
