That's ExtenZe, which isn't a David Cronenberg movie but rather a natural male enhancement for "that certain part of the male body." It's a pill that's supposed to GROW the penis, and enhance pleasure. I just caught the infomercial, a show-within-a-show called "Sex Talk."
One of Ron Jeremy's "experts" (scary blonde in a scary hat) said that women liking large penises is part of our sexual evolution, and when she used the word "anthropology" everyone oohed and ahhed. Ron also interviewed an adult film actor with a degree in molecular physics and a former job at NASA, asking him if he thought ExtenZe was legit, and dude said "uh yeah, I believe there's a, um, scientific... basis."
"No gimmick, just real science" (voiceover while we watch a lab full of actors chemists in white coats toiling away at a table filled with smoking test tubes)

and i remember watching this with my gf and we were both in awe of how sleazy it was. and oddly uncompelling. i think we switched to the real estate one with the twin dwarves.
