alan, are you as bored as i am. it's waaaaay too quiet around here today. (both the parents still have to work today, the poor fules.) so i sit, and play on the intronet, and listen to music. although the eats are good. and i've already gotten into the booze.

and of course, ilx is unsurprisingly bone quiet.

You busy bees, or not. ;-) Well, met up with Sean last night as planned -- a wonderful guy, had a couple of drinks and some chat about all kinds of stuff. My sister thought him worthy as well. The three of us are going to try and meet up again at Esperpento, a most grand tapas place in the Mission District, on the 26th. Fun! Oh yes, and I dropped $140 last night at Aquarius. Big surprise!

Today has been v. quiet -- my sister had to work an early shift at Whole Foods but she's about done with that. I killed time walking around the Mission a bit (had a decent omelette at Boogaloo on 22nd and Valencia, I think that's the address) and am otherwise getting ready to go -- once she gets back from work, we need to split so we can make Xmas Eve dinner on time!

Will hopefully yak with you all a bit more on the 26th and definitely on the 27th, so happy Xmas Eve and I'm o

Yum! that is great- and I hope you are having a good christmas at the ancestral home. Of course we New Zealanders are a bit rustic and uncouth so I am having christmas at the family hovel and indulging not in family sized boxes of chocolates, but the wine. In fact I need a refill. I intend to keep drinking steadily all afternoon so I hope I convince someone to move onto the still wine with me...

(I finished all the sparkling while the rest of the family were sleeping off dinner. I love not overeating.)

To eat chocolates properly, (ie continously and without desisting) us professionals usually interdisperse the flow of chocolate from box to mouth with a huge and varied selection of berries and other summer fruit delights.

Some purists might call this cheating, but it has helped me win more chocolate eating competitions than you've had hot dinners, let me tell you.

I've only had two chocolates so far, but then again I am not a huge chocolate fan

On the one hand, I like chocolates; on the other, I just weighed myself on the Family Scales, and have reached an impressive 13 stone 9 pounds, my heaviest ever! Boo. The New Year is going to be fun :-(
