I like the first month or so of winter, esp. the first snowfall. And I don't mind the cold at all, at least if it isn't Arctic frigid (though even that has its appeal). It's also easier to escape the cold than the heat and it's a great excuse to wear any of my zillions of sweaters. That said, winter gets old after mid-January or so.

autumn is pretty cool though. I still like clear crisp feburary days tramping across the moors outside sheffield though.

I will say this for summer, though-- it has a lot of sensory delights. While it feels crummy in a hot car, that interior-baking smell can be kinda fragrant...well, okay, how about suntan oil and honeysuckle, then? Also, sometimes that tired-in-intense-heat thing can feel sorta like a drunken state...
I live near Washington DC and I have to say Ally's complaint about spring applies here. There is NO spring! It's extended winter, weird mix, then heat....however, 2000 and 2001 summers (so far) MUCH MUCH milder than the past couple decades (but not enough rain, perhaps more El Nino-induced garbage?).
Fall is okay.
