What is your experience? How well do they pay?

they're alright, but watch out for their trickery on rare or oop shit. doublecheck, because maybe some of the stuff you've got goes for a premium on ebay.

they'll treat you right if you don't bring in too much at once.

and yeah, make sure they check up on stuff that's worth some dough.

Do they generally pay $4 or more?

kurt broder (dr g), Saturday, 1 October 2005 22:58 (twenty years ago)

They gave me $4 in cash or $5 in credit for CDs, so I would think they'd pay more than that for DVDs.

I guess I'll just try my luck and see what happens. I can't think of a better place in town to sell the DVDs to. Record Surplus proves that apparently beggars can be choosers.

I wish I had all the CDs I sold them back, knowing what I know now about selling on Amazon.

I thought about trying Amazon, but I don't have a few months to wait, unfortunately. I need to dump these Guy Ritchie DVDs ASAP.

If you've got a lot of stuff, a day to enter the items and can wait a month, there's usually a honeymoon period of sorts where your rarer stock will get cherrypicked at a very good price. After that first month or so, you can pull all the rest of the stuff down and get lowballed on it without leaving quite so much on the table.

I have seriously thought about making a buying trip to SF to buy Amazon stock at Amoeba.
