This reminds me of last week's episode of Nip/Tuck. The part about the woman who was fused to her couch, which was both sad and pretty graphic. (vs. the part near the end with all the good-looking rich people and their soft-core-porn sex.)

I watched some of this! He goes to a cafe called "Belly Busters" and has a special seat brought in before he sits down to eat four Belly Buster Specials (huge and manky-looking cooked breakfasts)!

The sub-Innerspace graphics were rotten, as was the "look at this huge pile of LARD, that's how much crap he eats" commentary. Yet it was still oddly compelling, even if I spent most of it going "eurgh" at his lardy old legs.

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 3 October 2005 18:06 (twenty years ago)

Also how the fuck does he AFFORD to eat and drink that much?

ailsa (ailsa), Monday, 3 October 2005 18:08 (twenty years ago)

Hahahahahaha oh shit: so I just google image searched for a picture of this dude, and the only one -- the only available picture in a google image search for "barry austin" and "fat" -- was on ALJAZEERA.NET
