You know, that was the one thing that always irritated the crap out of me, watching Speed Racer. Like, do they really need to explain the ENTIRE Racer X backstory every single time he appeared on screen? It's like, we get it already.

By the time Ally saw it, they had probably dumbed it down a bit, and Speed's monkey pal had his own even smaller, cuter, furrier little monkey pal.

But they announced the fact that Racer X is Speed's brother in, I believe, the THIRD EPISODE. If not before! I mean I can see being shocked the very first time, although perhaps not even shocked, how can you be shocked that Random-Newly-Introduced-Character has a sketchy secret past???

Other than that, the series was a flawless execution of taut suspense and almost Greek tragedy and drama.
